Lindsay  Maggio, MD

A PHYSICIAN WHO LISTENS, UNDERSTANDS, AND EMPOWERS

I help women at every stage of life—from preconception through menopause—reclaim their health and confidence through personalized, evidence-based metabolic and weight management solutions.

Empowering Better Health Through Innovation

I believe that for too long, women have been told that their health and weight are simply a matter of "trying harder." I’m here to tell you that’s not the case, and I’m here to help you rewrite your story. To redefine your thoughts. To forgive yourself for your prior attempts that did not stick. To find your individualized solution to lose the weight for the last time and… to find your best self.

You will not find a one-size-fits-all magic here. Instead, you will find a coach, a cheerleader, someone who has walked the walk, and who has the knowledge and the skills to help you be successful!

As a physician board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine, I combine this advanced science with holistic health coaching to provide a path that actually works. Work with me and start to see the change you can be.

My Story

·

My Story ·

My entire life felt like a cycle of weight loss and weight gain, a pattern that never seemed to end…

I tried every diet, every plan, and every approach I could find, yet nothing ever truly lasted. Living with obesity for so long and facing the stigma that often comes with it made me want to do better for my patients and for myself.

I decided to become certified in obesity medicine so I could better understand this disease and help people in a way I was never taught during medical school. What I did not expect was how deeply this training would change my own life.

For the first time, I realized there was nothing wrong with me. I was not lacking willpower and I was not failing. My body was doing everything it could to protect itself. Learning this allowed me to practice forgiveness and self compassion, and to see obesity treatment as no different from treating any other chronic condition.

I began medical treatment knowing it might take time. Some medications did not work for me and others were difficult to tolerate, but I stayed committed to the process. I combined medical support with lifestyle changes, movement, and a new relationship with food. Over time, I lost over 100 pounds and have maintained that weight loss for more than two years, something I never believed was possible.

I created Lindsay Maggio, M.D. to help women lose weight, improve their health, manage hormonal and metabolic concerns, and feel their best. I bring not only medical training and certifications to this work, but real life experience and an understanding of what it means to walk this path, and I am passionate about walking it alongside other women as they work toward their goals and sustain them.
